This butterfly was named by the naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace in 1855, after James Brooke, the Rajah of Sarawak. Each fore-wing has seven tooth-shaped electric-green markings, while there is a relatively large electric-green patch on the hind-wings. The head is bright red and the body is black with red markings.

CITES Protected: This specimen can only be shipped within the UK.

A beautiful Rajah Brooke's Birdwing butterfly in a handmade wooden frame, mounted on high quality ivory card. The scientific and common names are printed beneath the butterfly, and a small information sticker can be found on the back of the frame.
