The name Hookwing comes from the shape of this butterflies fore-wings which hook around at the tip. The markings on their wings are very subtle compared to other species, but the blue is a deep, almost, velvet like colour making for a beautiful specimen.

A beautiful Great Blue Hookwing butterfly in a handmade wooden frame, mounted on high quality ivory card. The scientific and common names are printed beneath the butterfly, and a small information sticker can be found on the back of the frame.
